The survey includes questions about your use of e-cigarettes and regular tobacco cigarettes in the past, and your intentions to use e-cigarettes and smoke tobacco cigarettes in the future. You will also be asked about your reasons for using e-cigarettes and for some demographic information (e.g., your age, gender, educational qualifications).[/wr_item_accordion][wr_item_accordion heading=”Why should I participate?” disabled_el=”no” ]As a ‘thank you’ for taking part, you will be entered into a free prize draw to win one of three iPad minis – click the “Prizes” drawer below for more information about the prizes on offer.[/wr_item_accordion][wr_item_accordion heading=”Are my answers confidential?” disabled_el=”no” ]Yes! We make several promises to everyone who participates inthis survey:
Your responses will be kept completely confidential at all times. When you complete the survey, we will ask you to provide a contact email address so that we can enter you into the prize draw and contact you if you are the winner. However, your contact email address will not be stored with your survey responses. Instead, you will be assigned a unique participant number, and only the participant number will appear with your survey responses. We will never be able to match any individual’s contact details to his/her survey responses. Only the three researchers named above will see your survey responses. The list of contact details for all of our participants will be stored electronically in a password-protected file. After the survey has closed and the winner has been notified, we will destroy the file containing participants’ email addresses. Your confidentiality will be kept to the degree permitted by the technology being used. No guarantees can be made regarding the interception of data sent via the Internet by any third parties. All possible steps have been taken to assure your privacy.

When you finish this survey, you will be asked if you wish to be entered into a free prize draw to win one of three iPad minis. To enter the draw, you will be asked to provide an email address that will only be used for the purpose of contacting you in the event that you are one of the winners. All participants who provide a contact email address will be entered into the prize draw. The prize draw will take place on 10th August 2015 and the threewinners will be notified by e-mail on or around 11th August 2015. The names of the winners will not be revealed, but all entrees will be emailed to confirm that the winners have been drawn and notified. It is anticipated that approximately 1,000 individuals will complete this survey, and so you would have a roughly ‘1 in 333’ chance of winning an iPad mini (i.e. three winners from 1,000 entries).
